Bubble Letter I – How to Draw Your Bubble I. Whether you’re looking at the lowercase or uppercase version of the letter I, it’s one of the easiest letters to learn to write. Learning to write it normally can be very easy, but it can be more challenging to make it more fun by learning how to draw a bubble letter. I am quite common in everyday life, so learning how to make it more fun is worth learning.

Once you know how to do it, you can make all kinds of cool designs! In this guide, we’ll walk you through 6 steps to make a fun bubble version of this card. After that, we’ll show you some fun ideas you can use for inspiration. Now, let’s get started with the first step of the guide to get started!

Step 1

Depending on the font and style, the letter can have some variations. In the previous sentence, you’ll see that it’s a simple vertical straight line. Sometimes there might be two smaller lines at the top and bottom of the letter, and that’s the design we’ll use for this bubble letter. We’ll start by drawing the start of the little baseline we just mentioned.

To draw this line, we will use a simple curved line. The reference image will show you what this line should look like. When written, the letter I am very straight, but here we will avoid perfectly straight lines. This will make it look like the I is inflated with air inside. Once you’ve drawn this curved baseline, we can move to step 2 of the guide.

Step 2

For the second step in this guide, we’ll draw the beginning of the vertical pillar for the letter I. This will extend from the base you just drew. Once again, we’ll make it slightly curved, as the straight lines keep it from looking puffy. Once you reach the pillar’s top, we’ll add another curved line. This will be the start of the smaller line at the top of the letter, so keep that in mind.

If you want to keep the font size constant, schedule it. A good way to do this would be to use a light pencil to draw a straight line up. This will help you choose the I length you can refer to when adding the final lines. Next, we’ll draw the top of the letter, so when you’re done, let’s move on to that step.

Step 3

Now it’s time to add the top of the letter I. Once again, we’ll extend from where the previous line ended in the previous step. The top of the letter would be identical to the bottom, but we will make it look a little different. Instead of a smooth curved line, we’ll have a smooth drop down the center.

This will again serve to make it look like it has been inflated. There’s a big gap on the right side of the I, but we’ll fill it in in the next step when we’ve finished the outline. Once the outline is complete, we can add some finishing touches, so let’s move on.

Step 4

As we mentioned, this step will see you finish the outline of the letter I on the bubble. First, draw a small curved line to finish the top of the I. Once this is done, we’ll draw the right hand. Pillar side. This will be a mirror print of the one on the left and will have an equally slight curve. Only a small gap will remain when that part of the pillar is drawn. That can be filled with another short curved line. Once the last little line has been drawn, you’re ready for some final details!

Before proceeding, ensure that everything is ready for the final touches. If you took our suggestion to draw an I in pencil to prepare, you could delete it as we won’t need it. You can also review the outlines with your pen or a dark pencil. We can add interior details in the next section when the outline looks exactly like you want.

Step 5

The outline of this letter may be finished, but we’re still going! This part will be about making the letter look like a bubble. We’ll add shapes to show the light reflecting off the letter and lines to give the letter some volume. Let’s start with the reflective shape. As you can see in the reference image, this will be drawn as a simple oval shape. We chose to put it near the top of the I, but that’s just one of many places you could put it. Finally, we counted some simple, slightly curved lines inside the I to imply that it has some volume.

Once these details are in place, you can add a few extra touches! You can make this letter drawing more unique to you in many ways. For example, you could draw a background or make little pictures around it. If you want to keep the focus on the letter, you can decorate it with a pattern or some shapes. After the next step, we’ll also look at some pictures you can try. Let’s add some color to this drawing in the last step.

Step 6

The nice thing about coloring the bubble letter is that there is no wrong way to do it. In our example, we chose to go with a green color scheme. You don’t want to stick to just one shade when coloring something that’s supposed to look like a balloon. In our example, we made a gradient of light and dark tones to simulate the look of light shining on the bubble. You could create a similar effect no matter what color you choose. You can choose any color to complete the bubble letter or use several colors!

If you drew some patterns or shapes inside the bubble letter, you could work in all colors. However, choosing the colors you wear is only part of the fun. Mixing and matching different art tools and mediums can also be fun. For example, you could use acrylic paints for some parts of the letter and colored pens and markers for the smaller details.
