Finally New Ant-Man 3 Trailer Reveals Corey Stoll’s Big MODOK Face

New trailer for Ant-Man & The Wasp shows Tom Holland’s Peter Parker/Ant-Man teaming up with Monica Rambeau’s Maria Hill aka Agent Zero.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy may have just gotten off their high horse with an epic prequel, but they’ve promised that there will be some cool new movies before then. A few weeks ago, we got our first look at what might have been the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks to trailers from Eternals. But two scenes from one of those trailers set a lot of minds whizzing around, and with all the hype surrounding Eternals, I decided to take a look at other potential movie ideas. And while you’re at it, why not check out my preview of Ant-Man 3 on Disney+ this weekend?

The trailer begins with us finding ourselves in space, seeing strange lights flashing across a screen, something coming down into view, and then… a figure walking towards the camera! This time we don’t get the face of the character, but we do get another glimpse of him as well. We see a little bit more of the creature, and he is obviously taking up residence in a box.

The moment when these strange lights start flashing reminds me of something that came up earlier in the week. While looking through the footage of the original Star Wars trailer, I came across a clip from the “No Surprises Part 2” teaser that was released before Jabba did it, which showed us where the Death Star had come from and how it destroyed planets like Naboo. As soon as that shot ended, the ominous music started playing from the score for Doctor Strange In THE Multiverse Of Madness, which made fans go back to the beginning of the trailer and think about how much bigger Thanos would be if he could destroy everything in existence in such a short amount of time!

And now the reveal. When we finally see that tiny yellow jacket is actually a version of himself who uses his size to his advantage by shrinking during battle, the surprise isn’t even over yet because he’s still stuck in this giant red-clad body! It just doesn’t stop him though, and once again, his confidence in himself becomes clear, and he continues fighting like crazy, showing no signs of fear or regret. He really just wants to conquer the world, and even tells Doctor Strange that if they kill him, everyone else will die, including himself. Seriously, that can’t be right.

If this comic book version of Aaron Eckhart isn’t too far off from what we saw in the trailer, Ant-Man and Wasp may be making a big jump forward in terms of understanding and dealing with both the real world and our imaginations. Like with Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Falcon, Thor, Red Skull, Black Panther, etc., most people have seen the movies since childhood, so imagine what many others haven’t seen before – and we know it! As we mentioned above, we also got an early look at the sequel, The Spectacular Spider-Man #1, in addition to a trailer for the upcoming Deadpool movie in March. If it’s anything like Jordan Peele’s previous projects, expect to see plenty of new characters pop up, some from past films, and others totally new, going all the way back to Peter Parker getting bitten by radioactive spider-like mutants! All I can say is that for me at least the biggest change from the last several MCU releases was the introduction of Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner! Now that we have him, I can certainly see how the future Avenger universe would work.

Speaking of which, this is another one of the Easter Eggs we’ve all been waiting for from Marvel movies. One of them is shown here through the use of green lighting and background music. Here’s another detail that will stick with you for days. After seeing the final confrontation between Tony Stark and Howard Stark, as well as Dr. Malcolm Preston’s death (he was very close), Tony starts to remember what happens in Avengers 4-5. We’ll never forget Mantis biting the dust, but he has a vision of an alternate reality in which he and his fellow villains are already dead and gone! How would it play out, and what is left of the multiverse after everything goes wrong? There’s even some mention of what he thinks happened in Infinity War (which would explain why Nick Fury and Bucky are trying to save the world from that same event). Hopefully the writers took what was happening in 2019 and 2020 and added some major context to keep things moving along!

And finally, now we’re looking directly at Hawkeye joining forces with the rest of Team Cap to get rid of Thanos! Yeah, that means basically nothing, since that would mean the team being split in half, but there’s definitely room for the newest member of Team Cap to step up and try to help out. Maybe this guy is someone I haven’t noticed for decades? Or maybe this is just more easter eggs than anything, but either way, watching him join the crew as part of the end credits is the only thing keeping me awake at night while working on this article. I don’t want to miss any of this fun stuff, especially considering we have just under five months until Phase 6 comes out, which is usually the middle of the year when they release a movie.

What Happened To Corey Stoll’s Villainous Darcy?

Last seen in Ant-Man 2 when he was fatally shot by Spider-Man before dying from an exploding car accident, fans have been speculating about how long character actor Corey Stoll had survived without dying onscreen. In fact, his return to the MCU after losing his role in Avengers is proving to be one unexpected turn for the character.

In recent trailers, we have been seeing plenty of him in action but here appears he has returned to action as well, albeit in the back seat of Scott Lang aka Iron Man in Wakanda Forever. While he can clearly hear Vision in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., it’s revealed that he knows who will help him out of trouble, which could mean he may not make another appearance until next year’s Black Panther sequel.

With this new information comes some great images showing what could become of Darcy even if he does reprise the role in Thor: Love And Thunder.

Fans were left shocked last year at the news of Stoll’s death in Avengers: Endgame. It took fans by surprise because in both previous films, we saw him play as a more tragic figure than usual in scenes where he showed mercy or compassion on people like Tony Stark and Pepper Potts who had died. However, when Stoll did end up alive for longer periods in those past appearances on screen, we saw what a brave soul he could be too and there was no way he would lose that now.

After watching this fresh new take on “Ant-Man & The Wasp”, I feel very strongly that he should continue acting with dignity and care for future generations, whether they are old fans or younger ones. He must bring joy to people through his work, and to all he encounters, and nothing else.

It seems the movie’s official Twitter account tweeted about having “a lot of fun” with their latest post featuring new footage from the upcoming Marvel flick. This is truly amazing news given the number of deaths and injuries Marvel Studios employees have suffered over the years. As the saying goes, time is money, so while we wait a bit longer for the final cut, let’s just enjoy the present.
